In order to make clear the cognition，attitude and behaviors of animal health workers at village level（hereinafter referred to as“the workers”）concerning brucellosis prevention and control as well as any possible problems in Southern Xinjiang，a census for 115 trained workers was carried out by means of questionnaire from 2018 to 2019，and relevant data were analyzed. The results showed that the cognitive rate of the workers was 79.8%，and their awareness rate was 83.2%；92.4% workers held a positive attitude towards brucellosis prevention and control，and 57.7% were able to accurately use protective equipment during the process of animal quarantine. Information was mainly obtained by the workers via veterinarians and traditional publicity materials，and the ratio of information from network and television was increasing. Some workers proposed that effective information should be obtained via training，which should be considered. As a conclusion，the workers' knowledge concerning brucellosis prevention and control should be improved，and the diversity and pertinence of publicity activities should be concerned. A basis was provided for further improving the workers' cognition concerning brucellosis prevention and control.
