In 2019,98 veterinary system laboratories were organized by Shandong Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control to compare their detection capacity, including such items as nucleic acid detection of African swine fever virus(ASFV)and avian influenza virus(AIV),antibody detection of H5 subtype AIV and nonstructural protein of foot-and-mouth disease virus(FMDV). The results showed that,in general, the total accuracy rate was 70.41%(69/98),of which, the rates of laboratories at municipal level, national animal disease monitoring station and laboratories at county level were 93.75%(15/16),68.75%(11/16)and 65.15%(43/66),respectively;the accuracy rates for detection of ASFV and AIV nucleic acids as well as antibodies against H5 subtype AIV and FMDV were 87.76%,85.71%,93.88% and 97.96%,respectively. Considering the above results, some suggestions were put forward for local laboratories, including improving the quality of staff, increasing the input and management of instruments and facilities, and promoting the construction of laboratories in combination with development of social services,so as to ensure the objective and accurate test results.
