In order to effectively control the tuberculosis(TB)in dairy cows, ensure the hygiene and safety, six cow farms in the suburbs in Urumqi City were collected, and TB eradication work was carried out by a series of“detection-elimination”measures consisting of strengthening strict disinfection, conducting isolation and quarantine, standardizing bio-safety disposal,as well as strengthening publicity. For the purpose of recognizing the prevention and control effects,an epidemiological monitoring was carried out towards these six cow farms during 2012 to 2018. Results showed that,in the past seven years,a total of 56 668 dairy cows were detected, the average positive rate of bovine tuberculosis decreased from 1.49% in 2012 to 0.33% in 2018. Besides, two dairy farms had reached the national standard of TB purification, the expected effects were achieved. However, there still existed a few districts that TB positive rate was relatively high, hence related control measures needed to be further adopted so that the bovine tuberculosis would be eradicated thoroughly.
