In order to identify the prevalence and immune status of cattle and sheep diseases in Shandong Province，the data of reports and surveillance of cattle and sheep diseases in the province in 2020 were summarized，the distribution of the diseases was analyzed from the aspects of time，space and disease types，then the immune status and risk of outbreak were analyzed based on the situations under surveillance. It was concluded that major cattle diseases included diarrhea in newborn calves，bovine viral diarrhea，infectious bovine rhinotracheitis and emergent lumpy skin disease introduced from other regions，which were mainly distributed in northern and northwestern Shandong. For sheep diseases，salmonellosis，sheep scabies and brucellosis were prevalent in central，western and southern Shandong as well as northern peninsula；all the diseases were characterized by time distribution，cattle diseases frequently occurred during July to September，and sheep diseases occurred usually in June to September and December；the immune level against foot-and-mouth disease（FMD）and peste des petits ruminants（PPR）was higher，with controllable risk of outbreak in general，although certain non-structural protein antibody against FMD in cattle and sheep was positive；the level of immune against brucellosis was relatively low，individual infection in infected positive group was more serious，and the level of infection was higher in sheep compared to that in cattle. It was concluded that cattle diseases including diarrhea in newborn calves and bovine viral diarrhea should be controlled as a top priority in northern and northwestern Shandong，and control of sheep diseases including salmonellosis and brucellosis should be strengthened in central，western，southern and northern Shandong. The construction of purification farms（counties）for cattle and sheep brucellosis should be continued. For such diseases under better control as FMD and PPR as well as lumpy skin disease that was newly introduced，intensive vaccination and surveillance should be continued for the purpose of preventing any introduction or recurrence.
