In order to identify the possible problems in the process of bio-safety disposal of dead pigs during farming in Liaoning Province and to put forward relevant suggestions，the status of rendering centers，construction and operation of their collection systems and relevant data during 2017 to 2020 in the province were summarized and analyzed. It was found that，by March 2021，a total of 24 rendering centers were established mainly in western Liaoning instead of eastern Liaoning including Fushun，Benxi and Dandong City，which were equipped with a total of 156 vehicles for transportation of dead animals，covering 52%（52/100）counties/districts and 78.95%（15/19）major counties supplying live pigs. From 2017 to 2020，the bio-safety disposal rates of dead pigs were 5.19%，7.81%，7.43% and 11.99%，successively，which was quite different in different regions. Therefore，it was suggested to improve the bio-safety disposal system in mountainous areas in eastern Liaoning，optimize the productivity allocation in western Liaoning，carry out the linkage of bio-safety disposal and livestock farming insurance，and to establish legal and standardized systems for bio-safety disposal of dead animals. Some references were thereby provided for better supervision over bio-safety disposal of deal animals in Liaoning Province even the whole country.
