In order to prevent and control the introduction or occurrence of African swine fever(ASF),based on the characteristics of local pig breeding and geographical characteristics in Miyun District of Beijing City, the links of breeding, transportation, slaughter, production, processing, circulation and harmless treatment were regularly sampled at fixed points with disinfection,closed-off management, strict quarantine for transportation and other conventional measures, followed by nucleic acid detection of ASF virus(ASFV)by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. From 2019 to 2021,all farms were detected, involving 75 600 samples, and all live pigs for slaughter were detected in batches, involving 4 245 samples;all storage points for dead pigs were detected every 7 days, involving 2 611 samples;all introduced pig carcasses were detected lot by lot, involving 14 000 samples;registered vehicles transporting live pigs and those in slaughterhouses were regularly detected, involving 229 and 37 samples,respectively;53 environmental samples from slaughterhouses and 396 from refrigerators and freezers in the storage points for dead pigs were detected. All the above samples were negative, which indicated that excellent effects against ASF were achieved with a priority of nucleic acid detection of ASFV under conventional measures. Due to the detection, the awareness of self prevention and control in all links from breeding to slaughtering or processing could be improved, vehicles could be strictly disinfected when they enter or exit, and pork products could be strictly inspected when they were introduced. A reference was thus provided for the prevention and control of ASF in other regions.
