Digital PCR(dPCR)is the third generation PCR technology developed based on the principles of“limited dilution”and“poisson distribution”,by which, the absolute quantification of samples could be achieved without standard materials. With high sensitivity and simple operation,it could be widely used in disease detection, transgenic identification and food test as well as quality control, screening and quantification in the researches on animal vaccines. In the paper, its potential in detection of animal vaccine gene mutation, gene quantitative, titer determination and vaccine effect evaluation was described from the perspective of researches on animal vaccine. In conclusion, the technology could be used to solve key problems in the researches on animal vaccines such as virus growth curve, vaccine titer determination and analysis on gene mutation, which would be used as a powerful tool for development of vaccines in the future.
