In order to further the reform to the implementation mechanism of the policy about animal immunization compensation，the compulsory immunization of“vaccination followed by compensation”for major animal diseases was piloted by the 6th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps（XPCC）in 2021. After evaluation on the pilot efforts and corresponding results，some shortcomings were found in mobilizing farmers' enthusiasm，purchasing vaccines and allocating compensation，testing antibody level and developing policies，then it was recommended to improve such measures as guiding and educating，improving farmers' responsibilities as the main body for animal disease prevention，strengthening the selection and compensation of vaccines，intensifying supervision and management，pushing forward socialized service and building an information management platform for disease prevention，with a view to promoting the implementation of the policy to safeguard healthy development of local animal husbandry.
