In order to investigate the infection with pseudorabies virus(PRV)in swine breeding farms in Beijing City,10 850 serum samples collected from 3 districts from 2019 to 2021 were detected for antibodies against PRV(gE antibodies)by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The results showed that the population apparent positive rates of the farms for three consecutive years were 84.38%,77.78% and 64.71% respectively, and the true ones were 86.10%(from 73.95% to 98.24%),79.37%(from 60.39% to 98.34%)and 66.03%(from 43.22% to 88.83%),respectively,with a slightly downtrend(P>0.05);the individual apparent positive rates were 53.95%,41.52% and 35.59%,respectively,and the true ones were 55.05%(from 53.05% to 57.05%),42.37%(from 40.90% to 43.84%)and 36.32%(from 34.85% to 37.79%)respectively,with a significant downtrend(P<0.05). The individual positive rates of growers, multiparous sows and reserve sows decreased year by year, while that of fattening pigs increased from 38.45% in 2019 to 60.79% in 2021. In conclusion,PRV infection was controlled in the breeding farms to some extent, although still serious, especially in fattening pigs, which should continue to strengthen immunization, monitoring and construction of a biosafety system, and to gradually achieve the goal of purification and eradication of PRV in farms.
