In order to investigate the status of livestock and poultry slaughtering industry in Suzhou，Anhui Province，based on the data extracted from National Livestock and Poultry Slaughtering Information System，local enterprises engaging in the industry were investigated to analyze the status of the industry and corresponding supervision，the shortages including lack of quarantine supervision，excessive capacity of pig slaughtering，low level of mass slaughtering and others were found out，against which，and for the purpose of providing a reference for the supervision and development of the industry，targeted measures were proposed，such as strengthening the construction of supervision teams，improving technical means for supervision，accelerating the transformation and upgrading，and systematically planning the whole industry.
