Calf diarrhea is a global disease usually prevalent in cattle farming,posing a great threat to the industry,which could be caused by several factors,and is highly contagious if it is caused by bacteria,viruses and parasites. Infectious calf diarrhea occurs rapidly and is highly lethal. Therefore,a rapid diagnosis is crucial for early confirmation,timely targeted treatment and reduction of mortality. In order to comprehensively investigate and accurately identify the pathogen leading to calf diarrhea,its types and characteristics,pathogenesis,symptoms caused and detection methods were summarized,with a view to providing a reference for clinical prevention and treatment of infectious calf diarrhea.
